THE RABBLE is seeking expressions of interest for a Treasurer to join our board of directors.

 

THE RABBLE is a group of visionary artists (Emma Valente and Kate Davis) who have consistently produced bold, provocative and visually stunning theatrical experiences. The company has forged an unrivaled reputation for producing experimental artworks of the highest quality – theatrical events that interrogate the human condition through a combination of surreal and visceral aesthetics, a feminist sensibility, and the application of intellectually rigorous research. Previous works include LONE; JOAN; Cain and Abel; Unwoman; Frankenstein and The Story of O.

Although THE RABBLE have been making works since 2003, we have only been established as a private company limited by guarantee since 2015. Lead by 7 voluntary directors, THE RABBLE is a small – but growing! – project-to-project company. The company currently engages project staff casually including the two Co-CEOs/ Artistic Directors, and a Creative Producer. We are excited to work with a Treasurer who is interested in working as part of a small team to build efficient financial mechanisms and strategies for our not-for-profit company over the coming years. We encourage Treasurers with experience or interest in:

  • Management of small businesses, particularly in creative fields
  • Financial management (CPA or Bookkeeping experience desirable)
  • Contemporary artmaking
  • Women’s leadership
